"I thought I knew how to pronounce your name, until I heard you say it!" Previously, a colleague at work rebuked me for the chameleon tendency to translate my name to fit the audience. Perhaps the poets willingness to adjudicate frivolousness naming had made an impact on how I addressed myself, "what's in a name?" Simply put, correction received.
My name is Jeremias (pronounced head-uhh-me-us) Zuniga, and as a matter of introduction, it is Spanish for Jeremiah (you can call me either). I love the Lord, His word, Kenna, study, and people; they all matter. I am a newly minted husband, hold a B.A in Biblical Studies, a Master of Divinity with specialization in Biblical Studies, and have been awarded a fellowship for my studies in Biblical texts and languages; I suppose this is an obvious hint at my proclivity. I also work full time as Bible teacher in a private school, where I engage with Gods word with some awesome students.
This blog will serve as a space for thought, a space for believers to wrestle with important things occurring contemporarily and historically. Many of the articles will be listed as essays, and some as faith questions. The essays are not to be taken as research, but a creative expression of this blogger that embodies the research and investigation of worldviews. Thus, citation will be marked strictly with quotation marks. Regarding faith questions, these will emerge from a textual basis and seek to offer exegetical exploration of sine quo nons. While, I admittedly will not have an answer to every question, we should not mistake this to mean an answer does not exist. Considering this, I invite you along my journey as a student.
- By God's grace, Jeremias.

THE ARTICLES
Who knows the importance of a single word, phrase, or page. While it may not be measurable, we know that words carry the weight and burden of communicating ideas. If ideas have consequences, words are the principal vehicle of delivery. An issue arises, ideas are not strictly spoken; they are also lived, and not every idealogy is livable. This blog is not strictly about what is happening, but how, and dare I say why. Belief and behavior are inextricably attached to being; they betray the why beyond the what, the how behind the who, and the point of it all. So here are my thoughts, etched onto the screen, sealed with a click, and shared at an instant. I hope you enjoy the range of Short Essays (seemingly disparate thoughts) and Faith Questions (matters of fundamental belief and practice).
